a table
Lazio Blu is built for the whole day rather than a single meal. Below is everything we do, and how to arrange it.
The restaurant
Open on every side and deep in the shade, in warm natural materials, with the breeze running straight through. The coolest room between noon and three and the easiest space for a larger table.
Peace Bar
The ideal lounge space to enjoy a refreshing cocktail or a fresh coconut, looking straight out over the bay. The perfect retreat from the sun for a light snack and some soulful music.
Beach beds
Proper beds set in a line along the water’s edge, with fresh water showers for when you have had your fill of the sea. Reserve one for the day and it is yours, with the kitchen and the bar running to you for as long as you want to stay. There are only so many, and the front row goes first, so do call ahead in high season.
Toes in the sand
A handful of tables set right down on the beach, a matter of metres from the water, with the full menu and full service. The seats people come back for, and there are only a few of them.
Chill Grill
The best takeaway counter on Anse Lazio, and quite possibly on Praslin. Fish and chips, king prawn baguettes, wings, mussels and kebabs, all cooked to order and wrapped for wherever you are headed.
Showers and facilities
Fresh water showers and proper bathrooms. Rinse the salt off before lunch, or at the end of the day before the drive home. Two minutes from the car park, which makes us the last comfortable stop on the beach.
Packed picnics for the Anse Georgette walk
If you’re planning to hike to or from Anse Georgette, we highly recommend it. What we would recommend just as much as the hike itself is a pre-packed picnic to take with you and enjoy along the way. Prebook yours the day before and it will be ready when you set off
Catamaran provisioning
New this season, and long overdue at this anchorage. Bread baked here that morning, ice, cold beer, wine and spirits, soft drinks, dairy and fresh produce, ready for collection at the beach. Order by 6pm and it will be waiting the next morning. Skippers, talk to us about a standing arrangement for your fleet.
Private dining, celebrations and weddings
After dark, Anse Lazio becomes something else entirely. Five course menus, champagne, beach setup, bar and staffing built around your group, whether that is two people marking something or a whole wedding party. Tell us the date and the numbers.
